A method for allocating wireless resource and a device thereof are provided, wherein the method for allocating wireless resource includes: in accordance with the downlink channel characteristics, the downlink interference characteristics and the requirement of the terminal downlink bandwidth which are reported by a terminal and determined based on the resource block, a base station determining a set of the downlink sub-channels and the transmission parameters associated with the set of the downlink sub-channels for a terminal; and sending to the terminal the determined set of downlink sub-channels and the transmission parameters associated with the set of the downlink sub-channels. With the above method and device, the wireless resource could be allocated and the transmission parameters could be determined in accordance with the requirement of the user traffic and the conditions of the system channels, and the performance and efficiency of the system could be improved greatly.
