PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device including: a cylindrical first rotor 41; a cylindrical metal member 47 that is fixedly provided on the inside of the first rotor; a heating element 43 that is fixedly provided on the inside of the metal member; a reflecting member 42 that is fixedly provided on the inside of the metal member and reflects radiation heat from the heating element to an inner face of the metal member; a slide-contact member 46 that is fixedly provided to be in slide-contact with the inner face of the first rotor; and a second rotor 44 that is in contact with the slide-contact member with the first rotor therebetween to form a nip part N with the first rotor, the image heating device conveying, while holding, a sheet P carrying a toner image T at the nip part to heat the toner image, and to suppress an increase in temperature at the ends of the image heating device with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A metal member 47 has notch areas 52 and 53 in the longitudinal direction, and a reflecting member 42 is installed to reflect radiation heat from a heating element 43 to the notch areas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
