PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and drive method that can achieve both of prevention of deterioration of an image quality due to insufficient data writing and prevention of deterioration of the image quality due to a variation of a plurality of data lines.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a plurality of pixel circuits that is arranged in a matrix; a plurality of data lines that is plurally arranged for each column or row of the pixel circuit; and a plurality of data selection switches that are respectively connected to one data line of the plurality of data lines, and one driver output of a plurality of driver outputs supplying data corresponding to a prescribed color, and causes the data line and the driver output to be selectively connected on the basis of a switching control signal. Data corresponding to a fixed color is supplied to each of the data lines that plurally arranged for each column or row of the pixel circuit, the data lines to be connected to the pixel circuit adjacent in a row direction and column direction are different, and a data update period is separated to a data line writing period and a pixel circuit writing period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
