An information processing device according to one mode of embodiment of this technology is provided with a detecting unit, an accepting unit and an image control unit. The detecting unit is capable of detecting whether or not each of a plurality of playback devices, which are connected to a network and are capable of playing back content, are configured as a group related to the playback of said content. The accepting unit accepts operations relating to the configuration of the group, from a user. On the basis of the detection results from the detecting unit, the image control unit outputs a group status image indicating the group configuration status, including images indicating each of the plurality of playback devices, and controls the group status image in accordance with the accepted operations relating to the group configuration.
