Disclosed is a picture display method. The method comprises: calculating the coordinate of each pixel point of a current picture to determine and mark a colour gamut range in which each pixel point is located; and according to the colour gamut range in which each pixel point is located, displaying the corresponding pixel point through a corresponding colour gamut space when displaying the current picture. Also disclosed is a picture display device. By means of the picture display method and device provided in the present invention, by calculating the coordinate of each pixel point of a current picture, a colour gamut range in which each pixel point is located is determined and marked; and according to the colour gamut range in which each pixel point is located, when the current picture is displayed, by means of displaying the corresponding pixel point through the corresponding colour gamut space, original picture colour can be correctly restored in the process of picture display so as to more naturally display a picture, thereby achieving a high-definition visual effect. |
