PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key authentication device enabling a user to recognize which vehicle key is valid.SOLUTION: A collation control device 48 prioritizes an in-vehicle key authentication of a vehicle key used to unlock a door lock and regulates an in-vehicle key authentication of the other vehicle key, when any of multiple vehicle keys (a standard vehicle key 2, a smartphone 3) is used to unlock the door lock. When the door lock is unlocked with the smartphone 3, for example, opening or closing of the vehicle door when boarding leads the collation control device 48 to: transmit electric waves from an indoor reader/writer 47; collate an identification code of the smartphone 3; and allow an engine to start provided that the identification code is collated. At that time, the collation control device 48 does not send a calling signal from an indoor LF transmitter 45 and thereby prohibits the vehicle key 2 from starting the engine. |
