COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND REGISTRATION PROCESSING METHOD OF A PLURALITY OF OPTICAL NETWORK UNITS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal mounted with a plurality of ONUs and the number of MAC addresses of which can be reduced and to provide a registration processing method thereof.

SOLUTION: An optical IF 31 converts an optical signal from a station side apparatus into an electric signal and outputs the electric signal to a plurality of the optical network units (ONUs) 32 and a registration processing control section 33. The registration processing control section 33 extracts a registration inquiry packet from the electric signal converted by the optical IF 31 and controls any of a plurality of the optical network units (ONUs) 32 to execute the registration processing for the registration inquiry packet. Thus, one MAC address is enough to be assigned to a plurality of the optical network units (ONUs) 32 and the number of MAC addresses assigned to a plurality of the optical network units (ONUs) 32 can be reduced.
