Conventional devices which are equipped with a remote control and have a stand-by mode, consume some power during stand-by mode. Moreover, the stand-by mode keeps the device electrically active, being connected to mains. Present invention offers a system for remotely powering on and off of a device. The invention uses ultrasonic signal (108) to switch mains of the device and hence can remotely power on a device (105). When the device (105) is put in a stand-by mode, the mains can be disconnected, interrupting all power supplies of the device and hence zero-watt power consumption. The invention also provides real-time clock dependent delayed transition from conventional stand-by to complete power off. |
