PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrous oxide gas decomposing apparatus for decomposing a nitrous oxide gas completely for making the nitrous oxide gas harmless.SOLUTION: A bar-shaped electrode (4) is positioned in a state to extend through the inside of a cylindrical body (3) having an inlet (1) and an outlet (2) of a process gas, and the outer circumference of the cylindrical body (3) is covered with an external electrode (5). The outer circumference of said bar-shaped electrode (4) and the inner circumference of the cylindrical body (3) are arranged with a cotton-like filler (6) made of a dielectric body. Inner and outer cotton-like fillers (6a) and (6b) positioned to oppose each other are filled inbetween with active charcoal (8). A pulse voltage from a pulse power source device (9) is applied to the bar-shaped electrode (4) and the external electrode (5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
