PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water treatment apparatus capable of efficiently performing sterilization of ballast water by a simpler configuration.SOLUTION: A ballast water treatment apparatus 1 comprises piping 2 and a disinfectant 3. The piping 2 is connected to a ballast tank 60 to introduce ballast water into the ballast tank 60. The disinfectant 3 is placed in the piping 2 and is a solid disinfectant comprising an isocyanuric acid chloride. According to the ballast water treatment apparatus 1, the sterilization of the ballast water is performed by elution of the disinfectant 3, placed in the piping 2, into the ballast water in a process of introducing the ballast water into the ballast tank 60 via the piping 2. Consequently, according to the ballast water treatment apparatus 1, the sterilization of the ballast water can be efficiently performed by a simple apparatus configuration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
