Face mask for heat treatment therapy - with valve for inspiration but no passage of exhaled air

Face mask for heat treatment therapy comprises two or more layers of which the outer one (AS) is rigid and air-impermeable, while the inner one (IS) is soft, elastic and air-permeable. At least one valve (V) is inserted in the outer layer in such a way as to allow inspiration of air from outside the mask, but not passage of exhaled air. The soft inner layer pref. has a recess at the point at which nose and mouth openings of the wearer are located, and the valve is inserted in the outer layer at this point. The mask is pref. secured by head bands with fasteners with tear open readily, pref. of interlocking loops type. Between the inner and outer layers is pref. a heat-insulating layer (ZS) which can be applied to the inside of the outer layer.
