<p>PURPOSE:To prepare antimicrobial active carbon not causing any fluctuation of the antimicrobial activity even when the state of use is different, by adhering active carbon to the outer surface of a granular core substance having an antimicrobial metal adhered thereto. CONSTITUTION:An antimicrobial active carbon prepared by adhering active carbon to the outer surface of a granular core substance adhered to an antimicrobial metal. The granular core substance employed is preferably a synthetic resin such as polyether or nylon whose surface hardness is relatively low. Although the size of the core substance is suitably selected depending on use, the size of the core is larger five times or more than those of the antimicrobial metal and active carbon is preferable on the point to the adhesivity. The antimicrobial metal includes silver and copper. The size of the active carbon larger five times or more that of the antimicrobial metal is preferable for the adhesion of the antimicrobial metal to the granular core substance so as to cover the antimicrobial metal.</p> |
