摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce throttle loss to improve thermal efficiency by providing an air-fuel mixture supply valve in the central area of a cylinder head, and two valves for supplying air or exhaust gas on both the side areas of the above valve to facilitate the layer combustion of fuel. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 3 is partially formed in the central area 2 of a cylinder head 1, and its upper part is provided an air-fuel mixture supply valve 4. Valves 5, 6 for supplying air or inert exhaust gas are provided on positions in contrast to each other in both the side areas of the valve 4, and two exhaust valves 7, 8 are further provided. A control valve 9 for altering the rotative flow of the mixture, its speed and direction is provided in the upper flow passage of the valve 4. The valves 5, 6 in both the side areas sever ally have a valve seat 10 formed at a position deeper than a head face 11 so as to form an air or inert gas flow which flows along a cylinder wall, and are provided with guide grooves 12, 13, respectively.
