<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a method for retaining vegetables and fruits without requiring a complicated operation and a large-scale equipment for retaining the vegetables and fruits compared, with conventional methods. CONSTITUTION:The objective method is characterized in that an isothiocyanic acid derivative is brought into contact with vegetables fruits or flowers in gaseous state so as to suppress an ethylene-producing reaction led to promotion of their deterioration.</p> |
