PURPOSE:To change string width to be a proper one with a simple operation without setting string width one by one every string by means of an operator by providing a string width setting means whereby the character digit numbers of a cell belonging to the same string are compared, the max. character digit number is obtained and the string width of the string concerned is set based on it. CONSTITUTION:Inputted table data is stored for every cell being the one unit of a matrix table and table data stored, every cell is displayed as the matrix table. A string width setting means M3 compares the character digit number of the cell belonging to the same string in the cells within the range set by a range setting means M2. The character digit number is obtained from table data stored for every cell by a digit number calculating means M1 and it is the character digit number on display. The string width setting means M3 obtains the max. character digit number from the character digit numbers of the cells belonging to the string in the result of comparison and sets the string width of the string based on the max. character digit number. When the range setting means N2 sets the range so as to include the plural strings, plural kinds of string width can be set at one time. |
