PURPOSE:To realize low loss characteristic by enabling uniform dispersion into the grain boundary to set its crystal gain size to the specified mean crystal grain size through inclusion of silicon oxide, calcium oxide, tantalum oxide and titanium oxide into the Mn-Zn based ferrite. CONSTITUTION:An Mn-Zn based ferrite having an average crystal grain size of 6 to 15mum includes Fe2O3 which is 51.5mol% or more but is under 54.0mol%, MnO which is 30 to 30mol% and ZnO which is 8 to 16mol% as the basic elements and also contains, as the side element, silicon oxide of 0.005 to 0.015wt.% in terms of SiO2, calcium oxide of 0.02 to 0.15wt.% in terms of CaO, tantalum oxide of 0.01 to 0.1wt.% in terms of Ta2O5 and titanium oxide of 0.01 to 0.1wt.% in terms of TiO2. Thereby, a low loss Mn-Zn based ferrite which ensures small power loss under the higher magnetic field can be obtained as a transformer material for switching power supply. |
