PURPOSE:To obtain a rust-proofing grease good in sticking when used on gate wire ropes, and excellent in workability, adhesiveness and retainability, by incorporating a high-viscosity mineral base oil with a rust-proofing agent, etc., followed by addition of oleic acid and a specific amount of a polymer. CONSTITUTION:This grease is obtained, for example, by incorporating (A) 65-85wt.% of a high-viscosity mineral oil with (B) 0.5-5wt.% of a thickening agent consisting of hydrophobic silica, (C) 10-20wt.% of a color/luster improver consisting of paraffin, and (D) 1-10wt.% of a rust-proofing additive consisting of dicyclohexylamine oleate, followed by addition, for improving sticking power, etc., of (E) 0.5-2wt.% of oleic acid and (F) 5-15wt.% of a polymer such as polymethacrylate. |
