PURPOSE:To provide a shock-resistant rigid tube of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin by a method wherein a glass fiber cloth, having a predetermined thickness, is employed as a reinforcing material and a thermoplastic resin is employed as a matrix resin. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber cloth, having the thickness of 150-300mum is employed as a reinforcing materials and a thermoplastic resin is employed as a matrix resin to form the tube of a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin. The thickness of the tube is regulated within the range of 0.8-1.7mm. The matrix resin is employed as the thermoplastic resin and the thickness is specified so as to be within a specified range in such a manner whereby the tube having toughness and rigidity can be obtained. |
