<p>The gas introduction unit comprises a ceramic core (2) in the form of a truncated cone and gas-tight casing covering the bottom and side surfaces of the core. There is gap of permanent shape between the bottom surface of the core and a bottom plate. The unit is characterized by the fact that the bottom plate (4) on the side facing the core (2) is provided with adjustable distance pieces made of sheet metal and welded at least at one end to the bottom plate.</p>
