Production of shaped components from sheet metal blanks joined to one another

The method concerns production of three-dimensional components from preferably sheet metal blanks. Several (at least two) blanks (3, 5) are stacked and joined to one another. Next a suitable forming process - preferably deep drawing with use of a punch (1) and a die (7) - is used to produce a preliminary three-dimensional shape. The final shape is obtained by application of pressure in the space between the blanks. One of the cover blanks (and possibly also one of the intermediate blanks) is displaced in a direction opposite to the original drawing direction. Also claimed is a corresponding apparatus for implementation of the method.
