Novel iodopropargyl derivatives of general formula (1), which little gives out an unpleasant smell and exhibits a wide antimicrobial spectrum and high antimicrobial activity, wherein R1 is methoxy or cyano, and antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic and mildewproofing agents containing the derivatives as the active ingredient.
