PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller and control method for brushless motor in which sensorless drive control can be carried out even during high output operation. SOLUTION: Zero-cross point of each terminal voltage is detected from the terminal voltage of a plurality of stator windings 102u, 102v, 102w and an induction voltage zero-cross point, i.e., the zero-cross point in a section where the voltage induced in the stator winding through rotation of a permanent magnet rotor 103 is detected as a terminal voltage, is detected from the zero-cross point detection signal VU0, VV0, VW0 of each terminal voltage before phase switching of a current conducting through the stator winding 102u, 102v, 102w while being delayed by a specified electric angle from the induction voltage zero-cross point is controlled. Power being applied to stator winding for a specified time before the current conducting through the stator winding 102u, 102v, 102w is switched is suppressed. |
