PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a heat more type lithographic printing plate having excellent plate wear resistance and small printing scumming on a printing surface capable of directly mounting in a printer without a process for development after scanning exposure in a short time adapted to a heat mode type engraving system using a laser exposure. SOLUTION: The original plate for lithographic printing comprises a hydrophilic photosensitive layer containing a hydrophilic photothermal conversion agent in itself or at least on its surface on a base plate, and a hydrophobic thin layer provided as an upper layer. The original plate for printing the lithographic plate comprises a hydrophilic photosensitive layer particularly of a sol-gel transformable medium.
