PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which long time waiting of a following print job due to an error related to a sheet of one print job can be avoided. SOLUTION: When a print job received from an external unit 13 is within the job receiving area of a hard disc 9, sheet conditions (sheet size and the number of sheets) of a sheet being used for that print job is acquired therefrom and a decision is made whether sheet conditions held in a RAM 3 satisfy the acquired sheet conditions or not (steps S4-1 to S403). If the sheet conditions held in the RAM 3 does not satisfy the acquired sheet conditions, a decision is made that the print job is involved in occurrence of an error and thereby it can not be processed. That print job is transferred, as a retrieval job, from the job receiving area to the job retrieval area of the hard disc 9 (step S405). |
