<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing defect in the lighting cycle of a flash lamp by reducing the leakage light of flash light radiated to an image carrier. SOLUTION: In this image forming method in which a toner image formed on the image carrier through electrification, exposure and development is transferred to a recording medium and then fixed on the recording medium by a flash fixing device, the flash light is intercepted by a light shielding member provided at a middle position between the vicinity of the flash fixing device and the image carrier on the extension surface L1 of the surface of the recording medium in a carrying direction in the vicinity of the flash fixing device.</p> |
