PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical isolator module of a small size which is provided with a function of an inline optical isolator, a function of synthesizing excitation beam and signal beam and further a function of polarized wave synthesis of two excitation beams. SOLUTION: The optical isolator module has at least four optical incident/ exit ports and two optical incident/exit ports among them are constituted of optical waveguides through which two excitation beams having polarized wave planes intersecting orthogonally with each other respectively and individually pass and which are placed side by side and have polarized wave holding mechanisms. Further the optical isolator module has at least one signal beam incident/exit port which is disposed substantially in parallel to two excitation beam incident/exit ports and other signal beam incident/exit port constituted of an optical waveguide which is disposed to substantially face the two excitation beam incident/exit ports. |
