PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article at a low cost and excellent in flap texture and air-permeability. SOLUTION: The disposable absorbent article is structured as follows. The outmost layer sheet 2 is water-repellent, on both edges in the longitudinal direction of which, waist flaps 8, 9 are provided extending outside of the absorbent body 3, respectively. The second elastic member 12 is arranged in the respective waist flaps, and a recessed part is formed on both sides of the absorbent body of the outmost sheet. A pair of side flaps 5, 6 are provided on the right and left extending outside in the width direction of the absorbent body, respectively upward and downward the constricted part in the form of the recessed part. The third elastic member 13 is arranged in the respective side flaps, and the third elastic member 13 is characterized by being laid down at least between the section except for the end adjacent to the constricted part in the side flap and the waist flap.
