PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking apparatus which achieves better cooking without blocking the convection of liquids for cooking even when a cage, or the like, is located closer to an opening rim part of a liquid tank in the cooking done by checking spattering up of the liquids held in the liquid tank and/or by housing food materials into the cage, or the like. SOLUTION: An inwardly protruded spattering up preventing part 33 for the liquids for cooking is installed at least a part of an upper circumferential rim part of the liquid tank 3 for housing the liquids 20 for cooking. At least a circumferential part of the inner circumferential surface 31 of the liquid tank 3 for housing the liquids 20 for cooking is so formed as to be outwardly protruded at a height-direction intermediate part thereof in the shape of the vertical cross section.
