DRUG FOR PREVENTING VASCULAR RESTENOSIS AND INSTRUMENT TO BE EMBEDDED IN VESSEL COATED WITH THE DRUG

A drug for preventing vascular restenosis comprises a compound that inactivates alpha 1-protease inhibitor and alpha 2-macroglobulin as active constituents, which are associated with occurrence of vascular restenosis after coronary artery intervention. Preferably, the drug is coated on a surface of an implantable intravascular device and locally administered to the affected area by application of the implantable intravascular device to a narrowed area.
