<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a valuable material such as a reusable fuel oil continuously in a high yield for a long period from a plastic waste product such as a spent film or container. <P>SOLUTION: This method for treating a plastic waste product comprises a step of reducing a volume of an object to be treated consisting of the plastic waste product by contacting with superheated steam, then a step of thermally cracking the object to be treated of the reduced volume by further contacting with superheated steam and a step of recovering an oil by liquefying a gas generated from the cracking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
