An image forming apparatus is provided to install the second protection cover so that a fusing unit is not exposed when opening a cover in order to remove the jammed paper. A cover(110) is equipped at the upper surface of an image forming apparatus. When the cover is opened, the second protection cover(200) is exposed. The second protection cover covers the paper transfer path formed between a paper discharge unit(120) and a fusing unit(130). The second protection cover is installed at the upper portion of the paper discharge unit and fusing unit and made of insulation material so that the heat generated from the fusing unit is intercepted.
