<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail capable of reducing pressure drop in injection while improving internal pressure fatigue strength by lowering a maximum stress value generated to the main pipe rail opening inner peripheral edge part of a passage of a branch connection body. <P>SOLUTION: This common rail is constituted by providing the axial peripheral wall part of a main pipe rail having a passage in the axis, with a plurality of branch holes at spaces, forming an outward opened pressure receiving seat face at the peripheral surface part of each branch hole so as to connect the branch connection body with the passage communicating with the above passage, to engage in an abutting manner a pressing seat face part of a connection head provided at the end of the branch connection body, and fastening to connect the mail pipe rail and the branch connection body in association with pressing at the connection head caused by screwing between a joint part integral with or separate from the main pipe rail and a nut previously built in the branch connection body side. A long pipe body is used as the main pipe rail, and the plurality of branch holes are provided in mutually parallel pipe body parts formed by bending the pipe body in U-shape.
