<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus where the stirring performance of a toner stirring member is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The developing apparatus is provided with a developing roll (Ga) for carrying the toner sticking on the surface of the rotating developing roll (Ga) into a developing area where an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a rotating image carrier is developed as a toner image, a 1st stirring/carrying member (Gb) for stirring/carrying the toner adjacent to the developing roll (Ga) along the developing roll (Ga), a 2nd stirring/carrying member (Gc) for stirring/carrying the toner in a direction opposite to the stirring/carrying direction of the 1st stirring/carrying member (Gb) so as to circulate the toner, and the 2nd stirring/carrying member (Gc) is provided with a high-speed carrying part (H1) arranged in the upstream end part in the toner carrying direction, for carrying the toner at a high speed, a low-speed carrying part (H2) arranged on the downstream side of the high-speed carrying part (H1), for carrying the toner at a low speed, and an intermediate-speed carrying member (H3) arranged on the downstream side of the low-speed carrying part (H2), for carrying the toner at an intermediate speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
