PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure capable of reducing the an X-ray tube output derating during dynamic focal point deflection in a diagnostic imaging system. SOLUTION: In one preferred embodiment, the measure includes a step (402) which generates an electron beam, a step (404) which focuses the electron beam on the first position of an anode, a step (406) which makes the electron beam be out of focus in the anode, and a step (408) which again focuses the electron beam on the second position of the anode. From other viewpoint, the measure of reducing the X-ray tube output derating during the dynamic focal point deflection includes a step which generates the electron beam in a rotary anode X-ray tube, a step which focuses the electron beam on the first position of the anode, a step which at least partially prevents the electron beam, and a step which again focuses the electron beam on the second position of the anode.
