PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of preventing malfunction caused by discharge light. SOLUTION: The radiation detector includes a scintillator 1 for converting energy of incident radiation rays into light, a light guide 2 for transmitting the light emitted from the scintillator 1, an optical bonding material 3 for optically coupling the scintillator 1 with the light guide 2, a photoelectron multiplier 4 for converting the light transmitted from the light guide 2 into electrons and amplifying, an optically coupling oil 5 for optically coupling the multiplier 4 with the light guide 2, an oil fence 7 for preventing the oil 5 from flowing out, a preamplifier 6 for converting current pulses output from the photoelectron multiplier 4 into voltage pulses, a detector case 10 accommodating the above components and shielding external light, and a cushioning member 12 for fixing the light guide 2 to the detector case 10. A light reflective layer 202 and a light shielding layer 203 are overlaid on a side face of the light guide 2 in contact with the cushioning medium 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
