PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which decreases the load of conversion processing and reduces the quantity of information converted. SOLUTION: An image extracting means of an image processing apparatus extracts from image data an image to be converted into vector information, a vector converting means converts the image extracted by the image extracting means into vector information, and an output means outputs an image that is not extracted as an image to be converted into vector information by the image extracting means, from the vector information converted by the vector converting means and the image data.
