PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential amplifier which provides an output signal with little distortion at a large input voltage and operates at high speed. SOLUTION: The differential amplifier comprises: a pair of first emitter follower transistors Q1, Q2 in each of which an input signal is applied to a base terminal and a collector terminal is used as an output terminal; a pair of second emitter follower transistors Q5, Q6 the base terminals of which are connected to emitter terminals of the first emitter follower transistors, respectively; a pair of amplification transistors the base terminals of which are cross-connected to the emitter terminals of the second emitter follower transistors, and the collector terminals of which are connected to the emitter terminals of the first emitter follower transistors, respectively; a pair of emitter resistors one ends of which are connected to emitter terminals of the amplification transistors, respectively; a first bias current setting circuit connected in common to the other ends of the emitter resistors; and a pair of second bias current setting circuits connected to the emitter terminals of the second emitter follower transistors, respectively.
