PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can suppress deterioration of image quality of pickup images caused by a circuit defect in a solid-state image pickup element in which a pixel has plural transfer switches for one photodiode.SOLUTION: An imaging device having a solid-state image pickup element in which plural pixels each having one photodiode, two floating diffusions and two transfer switches are arranged in a matrix form is controlled so that in an image pickup mode, one of the transfer switches is driven on the basis of selection data of each column every column while the other transfer switch is not driven, thereby achieving a pixel signal, and in a TOF ranging mode, the two transfer modes are alternately drive to achieve a pixel signal. In the image pickup mode, a signal which is little affected by a circuit defect, etc. in the solid-state image pickup element is output, whereby an excellent pickup image which is suppressed from being deteriorated in image quality can be achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
