PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that can have an increased accuracy, with simple configurations, of control performed by detecting a current when a voltage is applied to transfer means.SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 includes an image carrier 1, a conveyor 6, transfer means 5, a power source 50 applying a voltage to the transfer means 5, current detecting means 51 detecting a current flowing when the power source 50 applies a voltage to the transfer means 5, and control means 150 controlling a voltage to be applied to the transfer means 5 from the power source 50 for transfer based on the detection result obtained by the current detecting means 51. The current detecting means 51 detects, before transfer, a first current flowing when the power source 50 applies to the transfer means 5 a first voltage at a level which does not cause discharge between the image carrier and the conveyor 6 and a second current flowing when the power source 50 applies to the transfer means 5 a second voltage at a level which causes the discharge. The control means 150 controls a voltage to be applied to the transfer means 5 from the power source 50 for transfer based on the first and second currents when transfer is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
