For example, an apparatus may include an estimator to estimate a DC component of a received wireless communication packet based on a first value, a second value and an estimated frequency offset, wherein the first value is based on a first plurality of samples including at least a plurality of samples of a first sequence of a preamble of the wireless communication packet, the second value is based on a second plurality of samples including at least a plurality of samples of a second sequence of the preamble, immediately successive to the first sequence, and the estimated frequency offset corresponds to a frequency offset between the first and second pluralities of samples.

An apparatus comprising: an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) to convert analog signals of a received wireless communication packet into at least a first plurality of samples and a second plurality of samples, the first plurality of samples including at least a plurality of samples of a first sequence of a preamble of said wireless communication packet, and the second plurality of samples including at least a plurality of samples of a second sequence of the preamble, immediately successive to said first sequence; and a direct current (DC) estimator to estimate a DC component of the received wireless communication packet based on a first mean value, a second mean value and an estimated frequency offset, wherein the first mean value comprises a mean of said first plurality of samples, the second mean value comprises a mean of the second plurality of samples, and the estimated frequency offset corresponds to a frequency offset between said first and second pluralities of samples, said DC estimator is to estimate said DC component based on a sum of said first and second mean values, a difference between said first and second mean values, and said estimated frequency offset.
