PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that transmits a surprise message to a family or close friend who is notified of the fact that an expected event has occurred.SOLUTION: In a message transmission system 1 including a management device 2 for requester information, and a notification receiving device 3 that is connected to the management device 2 and receives a notification signifying that an expected event has occurred on a requester, the management device 2 includes a registration unit that registers identification information on the requester, a message transmission destination desired by the requester, and a message, and a notification designation unit that registers the identification information on the requester in the notification receiving device 3. The notification receiving device 3 includes a notification unit that, when receiving a notification, informs the management device 2 of the occurrence of the event. The management device 2 includes a transmission unit that transmits a message, which is registered in the registration unit, to the message transmission destination when being informed of the occurrence of the event by the notification unit.
