PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the maintainability of a detection part for detecting the passage of a medium.SOLUTION: A document conveyance device 10 includes a lower unit 10A which constitutes a document conveyance path for conveying a document as one example of the medium and an upper unit 10B which can switch a closing state for forming the document conveyance path and an opening state for exposing the document conveyance path between the upper unit 10B and the lower unit 10A. The upper unit 10B includes a cover 42 as an openable and closable opening/closing body which faces the lower unit 10A in the closing state and forms the document conveyance path and a rocking member 45 as the detection part which detects the document on the document conveyance path and can be attached/detached by opening the cover 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
