<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print original automatic selection apparatus that prevents a combination mistake from taking place and avoids wrong coloring/disharmony from being caused by automatically selecting combinations of originals printed on one print paper sheet, as regards various color image print originals whose size, paper quality, and contents differ from one another and requested from different order origins. <P>SOLUTION: A print original selection processing section 1 reads print original page information 10a stored in an input data file group 101, references a combination condition table 10b, selects color image print originals including a size, paper quality, and original contents or the like in matching with the combination condition and determines a combination of the print originals to be printed on one print paper sheet. Further, in the case of selecting the combination, when a free space is caused on the print paper sheet, the processing section 1 selects a print original among the print originals whose printing is not necessarily required on the basis of the condition set by a priority table 10c and lays out the selected print original to the free space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
