<p>A permanent magnet motor is used which is independent of a current source necessary for rotating the rotor. It will also be driven continuously when a current source is available. The magnetic flux density of the permanent magnets are in an increasing sense in the required direction of rotation. The step from the highest to the lowest magnetic flux density is overcome by a mechanical, electromechanical or electromagnetic switching circuit. The motor shaft (3) is mounted on a front (1) and back (2) support plate. The rotor consists of three permanent magnets spaced at an equal angle around the shaft. The difference in flux density is achieved by varying the gap between rotor and stator.</p> |
