PURPOSE:To perform the simulation of the state approx. similar to an actual operation, by dividing the delay time possessed by each circuit element at every predetermined time and operating the delay time of the whole of a circuit on the basis of probability distribution to the divided delay times. CONSTITUTION:For example, in detecting the delay time of an electronic circuit consisting of an OR gate G1 and an AND gate G2, the delay times possessed by circuit elements G1, G2 are at first divided at every predetermined time. Then, probability distribution to the divided delay times is set and the delay time of the whole of the circuit is operated on the basis of said distribution. By this method, weighing by probability can be performed at each divided time of the delay time. Therefore, this operation result can be allowed to markedly approach the operational state of the electronic circuit at the time of mounting.
