PURPOSE:To reduce erroneous operation at the time of carrying out an operation and reduce an empty traveling distance by operating each of an accelerator and brakes via an accelerator-cum-brake pedal. CONSTITUTION:An accelerator-cum-brake pedal 11 is pivotally supported on one end of a movable link 13 via an installing fixture 23 by means of a supporting shaft 14. The bottom end of a brake lever 12 is linked to the movable link 13 by means of a linking pin 16 and further, one end of an accelerator operating wire 20 is joined to the installing fixture 23 of the pedal 11 through a linking pin 22. Hence, as the foot 27 of a driver is placed on this pedal 11 to rotate same, the accelerator operating wire 20 is pulled to operated an accelerator whereas, as the pedal 11 is stepped in, the brake lever 12 is rotated to operate brakes. Also, when both operations are simultaneously carried out, engine speed is lowered by means of an engine slow-down switch 26. |
