摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-accurate and easy flying behavior measuring method of a spherical flying object such as a golf ball. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus has a recording part for recording optically a flying object at prescribed time intervals; an image information calculation means for detecting the first contour domain relative to the first flying object image between the first and second flying object images having different recording times when recorded by the recording part, determining the first image information of the first flying object image in at least a part of a domain of the first contour domain, detecting the second contour domain relative to the second flying object image, and determining the second image information of the second flying object image relative to the second contour domain; and a rotation amount calculation means for mapping the first image information on the surface of the first virtual spherical object and the second image information on the surface of the second virtual spherical object, and calculating the rotation amount used for rotation processing when correlation between the first image information on the surface of the first virtual spherical object and the second image information on the surface of the second virtual spherical object becomes maximum by applying the rotation processing to the first virtual spherical object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
