<p>PURPOSE:To restrain the development of crack at lower end part of a jacket by arranging two systems of flowing passages for cooling of cooling water flowing passage for cooling the whole surface of jacket part and cooling water flowing passage for exclusively cooling the lower end part of jacket part. CONSTITUTION:In the jacket part 1 with through-hole for converter hood, the cooling water flowing passage for cooling the whole surface of jacket part and the cooling water flowing passage for exclusively cooling the lower end part of jacket part, are arranged. In the cooling water flowing passage for the whole surface, the cooling water flows in a cooling water distributing pipe 8 from an inlet nozzle 5 through a supplying header part 10, and further, flows to a discharging header 11 from an opening hole 12 through a double pipe and discharges from an outlet nozzle 6. On the other hand, in the cooling water flowing passage for exclusively using to the lower end part, the cooling water flows into an annular piping 20 from an inlet nozzle 25 through a supplying header 22 and a supplying pipe 21 and discharges from the outlet nozzle 6 through the discharging header 11. By this method, flowing speed of the cooling water in the cooling water flowing passage at the lower end of jacket can stably be kept, and the cooling efficiency at the lower end part is made to good, and the development of crack is restrained.</p> |
