PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for processing a natural language which is convertible to an expression suitable for reading out aloud a hard-to-hear expression irrespective of words or compound words. SOLUTION: A pronunciation pattern extracting part 104 of a text translation part 103 searches whether or not a corresponding pronunciation pattern exists in a pronunciation rule table 111, and extracts a part presumed to be hard to hear when reading it out. Next a text translation processing part 105 converts the extracted part into a text assuming that it is read out, by using a text translation rule table 112. Since a hard-to hear expression is widely searched from the new viewpoint of a combination of sound at the time of reading aloud a document, it is possible to substitute an appropriate expression even for an expression in units of compound words. |
