PURPOSE:To provide a light emitting device with a light emitting pattern which is left to right symmetrical without any auxiliary peaks while minimizing the re-reflection of light due to a lead frame. CONSTITUTION:In a lead frames 3 and 5 of the title device, a black paint 10 with a low light reflection factor for light near the light emission wavelength of a light emitting element 2 is applied to the surface part of the lead frames 3 and 5 containing at least lower surface parts 3A and 5A opposing a reflection mirror 8 and a wire bond secondary side part 5B of the lead frame 5, thus preventing light in contact with the lead frames 3 and 5 from being reflected irregularly and reducing light intensity at areas other than main peaks of an emission pattern. |
